Author and Illustrator

Jessica L. Chipps, an herbalist, homeschool mother of six children, and a naturalist at heart, resides in rural Ohio with her husband, Bryon.
Jess has been writing and illustrating stories since she first made her mark on the world—drawing on the walls of her childhood home. She quickly moved from walls and, at six years old, wrote and illustrated her very first novella: Daisy the Cow, a poignant and moving romance between a grasshopper and a cow.
As a child, with their home based in West Virginia, Jess traveled with her parents and sister around Eastern America, Mexico, and Central America. They traveled in a camper her father had converted from a laundry truck—long before tiny houses were cool. These experiences enriched her imagination and fed her passion for writing.
